General Plan Design & Enrollment
What's Changing for 2027
What's actually changing on January 1, 2027? New for 2027
We're moving to three new benefits partners: our medical network is moving from Aetna to Anthem, plan administration is moving to AmeriBen, and pharmacy benefits are moving from CVS to Navitus Health Solutions. Vision administration is also moving to Ameritas (the EyeMed provider network itself is not changing), and Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability insurance are moving to Prudential. Dental, Short-Term Disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k), and voluntary benefits are not changing. It's a bigger update than usual, but it comes with real upgrades — starting with a bigger medical provider network.
Will there be information sessions or enrollment support? New for 2027
Yes. Live Open Enrollment webinars will be scheduled, and employees can also book a 1:1 office hours session with a Conair Benefits Center (CBC) specialist. Exact dates will be shared in Open Enrollment communications.
Enrollment & Your Elections
When is Open Enrollment, and will my elections automatically roll over?
Open Enrollment for the 2027 plan year runs in late October 28th – November 11th 2026, for coverage effective January 1, 2027. Because of the scope of this year's changes, current elections are not expected to automatically roll over — everyone will need to actively enroll for 2027.
When can I update my benefits selection and dependents?
If you are a new hire, please wait for an email from Jobvite notifying you when you can enroll in benefits. You should complete your benefits enrollment within 30 days from your date of hire.
If you experience a qualifying life event (e.g., marriage, birth of a child, divorce, etc.), you can report a life event through https://secure.lyric.adp.com/ to update your benefits coverage and dependents. You can only change your benefits selection within 30 days of the life event.
Conair also allows employees to update their benefits selection once a year during annual Open Enrollment.
Accessing MyADP & Plan Info
I'm having a log-in issue when I try to access MyADP.com. Where can I report this?
If you're getting an error when you access https://secure.lyric.adp.com/ or if you forgot your password, please send an email to Conair_employeebenefits@conair.com.
Do I need to be on VPN to access MyADP.com?
No, you don't have to. MyADP will require you to enter your login credentials for security purposes.
Where can I see the benefits plan information and employee cost for each plan?
Conair has a dedicated page on our intranet for everything about benefits. Follow the path below to access important benefits information:
- Go to the MyConairGlobal site and select US-based Employee Resources
- Select US-based Benefits Information
- Open the Benefits Guide to see the plan summary and plan costs
- Go to the Plan Documents section to access the full plan document details and booklet for each benefit plan
- Go to the Benefits User Guides section to get help on how to register or access the insurer portal
You can also access these documents through https://secure.lyric.adp.com/ under the View Forms and Documents section.
Dependents & Domestic Partners
What are the requirements to designate a domestic partner?
To declare someone as a domestic partner, the person must meet the definition of domestic partner as outlined in the plan requirements. Please visit the Benefits Guide located in MyConairGlobal to view the domestic partner definition.
Can I add my domestic partner as a dependent in my plan at any time?
Just like all other qualified dependents, you must have a qualifying life event to add your domestic partner, and your domestic partner must completely satisfy the plan's definition of domestic partnership. For full details, check the Benefits Guide in the US-Benefits Information page of MyConairGlobal.
What does imputed income mean in relation to adding my domestic partner to my health plan?
Imputed income is the fair market value of a non-cash benefit you receive as an employee, which is added to your gross wages and subject to payroll taxes. If you add your domestic partner and/or their child(ren) to your health plan, you will be required to pay taxes on the fair market value of their coverage as prescribed by the IRS.
Coverage Basics
Are any covered services, exclusions, or benefit limits changing for 2027, beyond the carrier switch?
No there are no current covered services that will be changing for 2027.
Will preventive care continue to be covered at no cost?
Yes — in-network preventive care continues to be covered at 100% with no cost-share, as required under the Affordable Care Act.
Are referrals required to see a specialist?
PPO-style plans do not require referrals for a specialist.
Medical Plan
The Anthem Network Change
Is the medical network changing? New for 2027
Yes. Conair's medical plan is moving from the Aetna network to Anthem's Traditional/National PPO network (BlueCard PPO), administered by AmeriBen.
How do I know if my current doctor, specialist, hospital, laboratory, or urgent care facility is in-network with Anthem? New for 2027
Use Anthem's Find Care tool as a guest at anthem.com/find-care: select "Medical Plan or Network," your state, "Medical (Employer-Sponsored)," and the Traditional/National (BlueCard) PPO network to search. You can also scan the QR code on Conair's benefits materials or visit myconairbenefits.com and select Find Care. Check every provider you see regularly — primary care, specialists, therapists, etc.
What happens if my current provider is out-of-network with Anthem? New for 2027
Don't make any changes to your care on your own — contact the Conair Benefits Center (CBC) first. A benefits advocate will help you find an in-network provider and walk you through your options, including transition-of-care support if you're mid-treatment.
Is this a net improvement in provider access? New for 2027
Yes — the move to Anthem is a net gain of contracted providers compared to the current Aetna network, meaning more choice overall. That said, not every doctor contracted with Aetna is automatically contracted with Anthem, so it's still worth checking each of your providers individually.
Costs & How Coverage Works
Does the plan include out-of-network coverage?
Yes! Your plans will continue to cover out-of-network physicians. Refer to your SBC for coverage details.
Will my deductibles, copays, coinsurance, or out-of-pocket maximum change for 2027?
Yes there are minimal changes to your plans for 2027. Below are the changes for your plans.
- PPO: Deductible $600/$1,100 → $700/$1,400
- PPO Rx: Generic copay $7.50 → $10
- HDHP Premier: Deductible $1,700/$3,400 → $1,750/$3,500
Will telehealth providers or services change?
You will still have access to telehealth services through Healthee.
What is an "out-of-pocket maximum"?
The out-of-pocket (OOP) maximum is the dollar amount you will have to pay before insurance begins to cover 100% of eligible healthcare expenses. This includes your deductible, coinsurance, copays, and other eligible expenses paid out of pocket — but excludes your plan premium and any non-covered expenses (e.g., balance-billing charges, penalties).
How does the out-of-pocket maximum work for family coverage?
An individual within a family plan only needs to meet their individual out-of-pocket limit before insurance covers 100% of their claim costs. If two family members meet their individual out-of-pocket limits — together reaching the family limit — the other covered members' expenses will also be covered at 100%.
Comparing & Choosing a Plan
Where can I see a side-by-side comparison of Conair's medical plans?
The Benefits Guide shows the differences between the Traditional PPO and High Deductible plans (Premier and Essential) in terms of deductible requirements, out-of-pocket maximums, copays, and coinsurance. Access the Benefits Guide through MyConairGlobal or https://secure.lyric.adp.com/.
Are the in-network providers different between the Traditional PPO plan versus the High Deductible plan(s)?
No — all three medical plans share the same Anthem in-network providers and facilities.
Can I switch between medical plans if I experience a qualifying life event?
You may change your elections in a way consistent with the qualifying event (for example, adding a spouse after marriage), but switching medical plan options (e.g., from HDHP Premier to Traditional PPO) is only available during Open Enrollment.
Family Coverage & Eligibility
If my spouse has health insurance through their employer but wants to join my Conair coverage, is that allowed?
Yes, you can enroll your spouse as a qualified dependent under Conair's health plan even if they have access to coverage through their own employer.
How does the deductible work for family coverage under the Traditional PPO plan?
An individual within a family plan only needs to meet the individual deductible before insurance starts covering a portion of their claims. If two members meet their individual deductibles — together reaching the family deductible — the other covered members on the plan do not need to meet their individual deductible before insurance begins covering their expenses.
How does the deductible work for family coverage under the High Deductible medical plans (Premier or Essential)?
The family deductible must be met by one member or a combination of members enrolled in the plan before insurance begins to cover a portion of their claims. Once the family deductible is met, all enrolled members are considered to have met their deductible.
My child has medical coverage through my spouse's employer — can they also be covered by Conair's medical plan?
Yes, a child can be covered by both parents' insurance. When dual coverage exists, the primary coverage is the plan of the parent whose birthday (month and day) falls first in the calendar year; the other parent's plan provides secondary coverage.
Can I continue my medical coverage through Conair once I become Medicare eligible?
Yes, you can continue Conair medical coverage and enroll in Medicare at the same time — just review the coordination of coverage details. Note that if you're enrolled in a High Deductible plan, you can no longer contribute to an HSA once enrolled in any part of Medicare. Conair also partners with Fidelity Medicare Services for free Medicare advice — visit medicare.fidelity.com/learning-center or call 1-833-886-0033 (TTY: 711).
Ongoing Care, Transition of Care & Continuity of Care
How Transition-of-Care Works
What should I do if I am currently receiving treatment? New for 2027
Contact the Conair Benefits Center (CBC) or book a transition-of-care office hours session as soon as possible — the sooner CBC hears from you, the more time they have to set things up before your effective date.
Is transition-of-care or continuity-of-care assistance available? New for 2027
Yes. Employees in an active course of treatment with a provider who isn't in the new Anthem network may be eligible for temporary continuity-of-care support that allows continued in-network-rate treatment with their current provider for a defined transition period.
How does the process work? New for 2027
- Reach out before January 1: Contact CBC by phone, text, or chat and let them know you're in active treatment.
- Share a few details: CBC will ask about your condition, your current provider, and where you are in your treatment plan (e.g., due date, treatment phase, upcoming procedures). There's no paperwork required to start — CBC guides you through anything needed.
- They follow it through: CBC works directly with AmeriBen and Anthem on your behalf, requesting transition-of-care coverage and following up until it's resolved.
How and when do I apply for transition-of-care support?
Contact the Conair Benefits Center to start the request. They will help support you to kick off your transition of care with Ameriben.
Who Qualifies
Who may qualify for transition-of-care support? New for 2027
Common situations include:
- Pregnancy, at any trimester
- Cancer treatment or a recent surgery
- Behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Ongoing treatment for a chronic condition
If you're not sure whether your situation qualifies, reach out to CBC anyway — there's no wrong reason to ask.
What happens if I am pregnant during the transition? New for 2027
Pregnancy is generally treated as a qualifying condition for transition-of-care support so your care isn't interrupted, at any trimester. Contact CBC as soon as possible to start the process.
What happens if I have a scheduled surgery, hospitalization, or procedure after the effective date? New for 2027
Contact CBC before the transition date so your care team can confirm whether the procedure needs a new prior authorization or qualifies for continuity-of-care support.

Existing treatment plans do not need to be approved again. These treatments will be transitioned to the new plan year.
Will existing case-management or care-management services transfer?
Existing case management or care management services will be transitions to Ameriben for 2027.
Prior Authorizations & Referrals
How Authorizations Transfer
Will existing medical prior authorizations transfer to Anthem? New for 2027
Aetna is sending Anthem a file of existing prior authorizations, and most should transfer automatically. That said, depending on timing, it's best to contact the Conair Benefits Center to confirm your specific authorization made it into that file before you need it.
What should I do if a previously authorized service is scheduled after the transition? New for 2027
Contact the Conair Benefits Center before the transition date so they can confirm whether that authorization carries over or needs to be resubmitted to Anthem.
How can I check the status of an authorization or referral under Anthem? New for 2027
Once your Anthem account is active, you'll be able to check authorization status by logging in at anthem.com or calling Anthem member services directly.
Requesting & Managing Authorizations
Which services require prior authorization under the new plan?
A list of services requiring prior authorization under Anthem is posted on the Conair Benefits website please click her to review your plan documents. *add a click through to go to the plan document section*
Who is responsible for requesting prior authorization — me or my provider?
In most cases, your provider's office submits the prior authorization request on your behalf, but it's a good idea to confirm directly with your provider before your appointment.
What happens if authorization is not completed before I receive care?
Coverage may be reduced or delayed if a required authorization isn't in place. Contact the Conair Benefits Center right away if this happens so they can help resolve it with Anthem.

Is the pharmacy benefit manager changing? New for 2027
Yes — pharmacy benefits are moving from CVS to Navitus Health Solutions.

Is my current retail pharmacy in the Navitus network? New for 2027
You'll be able to search participating retail pharmacies through Navitus's website once it's live.
What happens if my pharmacy is no longer in-network?
You'll need to transfer your prescriptions to an in-network pharmacy — most pharmacies can complete this transfer for you with a quick phone call.
Will my active prescriptions transfer automatically to Navitus?
Yes! You do not need to get a new prescription from your provider.
Will existing pharmacy prior authorizations transfer to Navitus?
Yes! All current prior authorizations will transfer to Navitus.
Formulary Changes & Coverage Gaps
Will any medications require new prior authorization, step therapy, or quantity limits?
Some medications may be subject to new utilization rules under the 2027 Navitus formulary. Check the formulary or call the Conair Benefits Center to confirm your specific medications.
What should I do if my medication is no longer covered or moves to a different tier?
Talk to your prescriber about formulary alternatives, and contact the Conair Benefits Center — they can help you understand your options and any appeal process.
Is there a transition-fill or temporary-supply program for medications not yet on the new formulary?
If your medication will not be covered under the new formulary or will need to be change to adhere to the new formulary you will have a 90-day grace period to continue to fill your current medication. Expect to receive a letter in the mil from Navitus regarding your transition. Letter’s will be released in January after the plan is active. Contacting the Conair benefits center now can expedite this transition process.
How can I avoid running out of medication during the transition?
Refill your prescriptions before the effective date where possible, and contact the Conair Benefits Center early if you take a specialty or maintenance medication.
Are manufacturer coupons or copay-assistance programs (like PrudentRx) affected?
You will still have access to coupons and copay-assistance programs through Navitus. Navitus will be reaching out to you about your medication if it qualifies for any coupons or copay-assistance.
Mail Order & Specialty Medications
Is the mail-order pharmacy changing, and will existing refills transfer?

I'm on a specialty medication — what happens to me? New for 2027
You'll get hands-on support through the transition. More detailed guidance on specialty medication coverage under Navitus — including infusion therapy — is still being finalized and will be released later in September 2026. Contact the Conair Benefits Center as soon as possible in the meantime; specialty medications often need extra coordination to avoid a gap in therapy during a carrier transition.
Claims & Payments
Who Processes Your Claims
Which carrier will process claims for services received before the transition date? New for 2027
Aetna will process claims for any dates of service before the effective date, even if the claim is submitted afterward. To avoid claim payment delays work with your provider to ensure claims are processed before the end of the run-out period (12 months).
Which carrier will process claims for services received on or after the transition date? New for 2027
Ameriben will process claims for any dates of service on or after the effective date, regardless of when the appointment was originally scheduled.
Will providers automatically submit claims to Anthem?
Most providers submit claims automatically once they have your new plan information. Once you receive your new medical ID card, it is a good practice to send it to your providers office to update your record on file.
Resolving Claims Issues
What should I do if a claim is sent to the wrong administrator?
Contact the Conair Benefits Center — they can help redirect the claim to the correct carrier based on the date of service.
Will outstanding claims or appeals in progress transfer to Anthem?
Any current claims appeals for 2026 will be continued with Aetna for processing. These claims will be payable by Aetna until the end of the runout period (12 months). It is strongly recommended that you work with your provider to help escalate claims resolution. If you are not getting the attention you need on an outstanding claim or appeal, contact the Conair Benefits Center. Your case will be escalated to a Senior Benefits Advocate to help escalate and complete before the end of the runout period.
How do I submit a claim directly if a provider doesn't submit it for me?
You can submit an out-of-network or manual claim form directly to the applicable carrier — the Conair Benefits Center can send you the right form and mailing address.

Coverage Details
Is teeth whitening covered under the Conair dental plan(s)?
Conair offers two dental plans — Dental Essential and Dental Premier. Teeth whitening is covered up to $300/year under the Dental Premier plan only.
If I don't reach my dental plan's annual limit this year, can I use the remaining balance next year?
Both dental plans have a carry-over feature allowing you to carry over up to 25% of your unused standard annual maximum, up to a maximum of $500, into the following year.
Is orthodontia coverage limited to children only?
No — orthodontia coverage applies to both adults and children, subject to a lifetime maximum.
Vision Plan
The Ameritas Transition
Is the vision coverage changing? New for 2027
Vision administration is moving from Aetna to Ameritas, and the plan is becoming self-funded for 2027. Your EyeMed provider network stays the same, so you likely won't need to change eye doctors. You will receive a new vision ID card ahead of 1/1/2027.
Is my current optometrist or ophthalmologist still in-network? New for 2027
Since the EyeMed provider network itself is not changing, your current eye doctor should remain in-network. Use your vision carrier's provider search tool to confirm.
Where can I search for participating vision providers?
Use the EyeMed provider search tool — the network itself has not changed with this transition.
Allowances & Timing
Do I get a new allowance for frames after the transition, even though I just bought a pair this year?
No — vision benefit frequencies and allowances are not resetting as part of this change; your normal plan-year limits still apply.
What if I started an eyewear order before the transition but receive it after January 1, 2027?
Since the vision network isn't changing, this shouldn't be affected — your order will process under your existing vision benefit as usual.
How does the $140 allowance for frames or contact lenses work for family coverage?
The $140 allowance applies to each individual family member covered under the plan.
Telehealth & Teletherapy (Healthee)

What is Healthee and what benefits does it provide?

Health Savings Account (HSA)
Eligibility & Electing the HSA
Who is eligible to receive the Conair HSA contribution?
Employees enrolled in either High Deductible plan (Premier or Essential) are eligible for the Conair HSA contribution, provided they've elected the HSA through https://secure.lyric.adp.com/.
Do I need to elect the HSA even if I don't want to contribute?
Yes — to receive the Conair HSA contribution, you must elect the HSA via https://secure.lyric.adp.com/. If you don't intend to contribute, select "Employer's Contribution Only." Electing the HSA creates your account with Inspira Financial, where Conair's contribution will be deposited.
Is there a minimum contribution required to elect the HSA?
No, there is no minimum contribution requirement.
Contributions & Limits
Is the employer HSA contribution included in the IRS annual maximum contribution limit?
Yes, Conair's HSA contribution counts toward the IRS maximum annual contribution limit.
Do I need a qualifying life event to enroll or update my HSA contribution outside Open Enrollment?
No — you can change your HSA contribution anytime by logging into https://secure.lyric.adp.com/, going to Benefits > Report a Qualifying Change, and selecting "HSA election."
Can I make a one-off lump-sum HSA contribution instead of splitting it across the year?
Yes. Follow the mid-year HSA change process, but select "Enter a different amount" and specify the lump-sum amount and the payroll cutoff date for the deduction. Note this will remove any recurring contribution you previously elected, which you'll need to re-elect afterward if desired.
Is there an additional Conair HSA contribution for employees 55 or older?
Employees 55 or older can contribute an additional $1,000 "catch-up" contribution each year, but there is no additional contribution from Conair for this.
Using Your HSA Funds
Can I use my HSA funds for non-medical expenses?
Yes, but you may be subject to penalties and taxes. Qualified medical expense withdrawals are tax-free; for non-medical withdrawals, if you're under 65 you'll pay ordinary income tax plus a 20% penalty, and if you're 65 or older you'll only pay ordinary income tax.
What happens to my HSA balance at year-end?
Your HSA funds never expire and are yours for life, even if you leave Conair or retire. You can continue using them for eligible expenses, save, and invest.
Can I use HSA funds to pay my medical coverage premium?
No — per IRS regulations, medical coverage premiums are generally not qualified expenses, though certain other premiums (COBRA, Medicare, Long-Term Care, unemployment-period coverage) are. See the IRS website for the full list.
Medicare & HSA Eligibility
Can I contribute to an HSA if I'm enrolled in Medicare?
No — once enrolled in any part of Medicare, you're no longer eligible to contribute to an HSA, though you retain access to existing HSA funds for eligible expenses.
If my spouse is enrolled in Medicare but I'm not, can I still contribute to an HSA?
Yes, as long as you're enrolled in a Conair High Deductible plan and not enrolled in Medicare yourself. Your contribution limit depends on whether your spouse is also covered under the HDHP.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA & Dependent Care FSA)
Eligibility & Using Your FSA
If I'm covered by the Traditional PPO plan while enrolled in Medicare, can I contribute to an FSA?
Yes — Medicare enrollment doesn't affect FSA eligibility as long as you're a benefits-eligible employee.
Can I use my Healthcare FSA for expenses incurred by someone not covered under the Conair medical plan?
Yes — Healthcare FSAs can be used for medical, prescription, dental, or vision expenses for you and/or any tax dependents, even if they're not covered under the Conair medical plan.
Can I use my Dependent Care FSA for a dependent not covered under my medical plan?
Yes — you can use Dependent Care FSA funds for qualified dependents as defined by IRS Publication 503, even if they aren't covered under your medical plan.
Debit Cards, Deadlines & Reimbursement
What happens if I have money left in my FSA at year-end?
For the current plan year, you may incur qualified expenses no later than March 15 of the following year (grace period) and have until April 30 (run-out period) to request reimbursement through Inspira Financial for expenses incurred by the grace-period deadline.
Can I use my Inspira debit card for FSA expenses, or do I need to submit claims for reimbursement?
You can use your Inspira debit card to pay for eligible expenses directly, eliminating the need to submit a claim. You can still request reimbursement online if you pay out-of-pocket instead.
If I contribute to both a Healthcare FSA and a Dependent Care FSA, do I get two debit cards?
No — you'll receive one Inspira spending account debit card that covers both types of eligible expenses.
Commuter Benefits (Mass Transit & Parking)
How the Benefit Works
How does the Mass Transit benefit work?
You contribute pre-tax dollars to a Mass Transit account for eligible work-related public transportation expenses (bus, vanpools, mass transit vehicles, transit passes/fare cards for bus, train, subway, ferry). Taxi fare, rideshare (Lyft/Uber), and personal vehicle expenses are not eligible per IRS rules.
What are the eligible expenses under a Parking account?
Parking fees at or near your workplace, or at park-and-ride facilities. Residential or other non-work-related parking is not eligible per IRS rules.
How do I use my Mass Transit/Parking funds?
Use your Inspira debit card to pay directly — reimbursement is not permitted for Mass Transit per IRS rules, so be sure to purchase transit passes from a provider that sells transit products exclusively. For Parking, you can use the debit card directly, or pay out-of-pocket and file for reimbursement.
Can I use Mass Transit funds for parking, or vice versa?
No — each account is a separate tax-advantaged account under IRS rules, and expenses cannot cross over. You must enroll in each account separately.
Contributions & Changes
How much can I contribute to Mass Transit and/or Parking?
Up to the IRS maximum monthly contribution limit for each account (this limit is set annually by the IRS).
Can I change my contribution during the year?
Yes — log into https://secure.lyric.adp.com/, go to Benefits > Report a Qualifying Change, and select "Commuter Benefit Elections."
What happens to unused Mass Transit/Parking funds at year-end, or if I leave Conair?
Unused funds carry over into the following plan year as long as your account remains active. If you leave the company, any remaining balance is forfeited effective on your termination date and cannot be refunded, per IRS rules.

Enrolling Yourself & Dependents
Is a medical questionnaire required to add Optional Life insurance?

Can I enroll my domestic partner in Optional Spouse Life insurance?

Can I enroll my spouse/domestic partner in Optional Spouse Life without electing Optional Employee Life for myself?
No — you must be enrolled in Optional Employee Life coverage to elect additional coverage for dependents.
I recently got married — can I add my spouse to life insurance right away?
Marriage is a qualifying life event. If you enroll your spouse within 30 days of the event, they'll be automatically approved for $25,000 of coverage without a medical questionnaire. Enrollment after that window requires a medical questionnaire.
Disability (Short-Term & Long-Term)

No — Short-Term Disability and leave administration remain with The Hartford.

Coverage Details
If I enroll in the STD and/or LTD buy-up plan(s), is my entire disability benefit non-taxable?
Only the buy-up portion is non-taxable. The portion corresponding to employer-paid coverage is taxable.
If I live in a state with state-mandated disability benefits, am I also eligible for Conair's STD benefit?
Conair's disability benefits work in conjunction with state-mandated programs — Conair pays the difference between the state-provided benefit and Conair's benefit. Contact your local HR business partner for details.
What is the maximum duration of Conair's LTD benefit?
As long as you continue to meet the insurer's requirements, LTD benefits continue until Social Security Normal Retirement Age (with a pre-set maximum period for disabilities occurring after that age). See the Long-Term Disability certificate on MyConairGlobal for details.
Will I need to complete a medical questionnaire to enroll in the LTD Buy-Up plan?
Yes, except during your new-hire enrollment window. If you enroll after that, you'll receive instructions from the carrier on completing the medical questionnaire.
